Every image comes from public-domain and museum open-access collections, including Wikimedia Commons and The Metropolitan Museum of Art Open Access. Each artwork is fully credited on its detail page.
The full timeline is free — no account, no ads, no tracking. ArtArc Plus is an optional upgrade (a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime unlock) that adds unlimited Style Detective, every detail pack and comparison, and saveable wallpapers. You never have to pay to explore the whole story.
